The Process

Sew Bella Home is committed to providing personalized service to each customer. We have a great respect for client sentimentality and are recognized for incorporating this in to new designs. This is not to say that we will not guide and sometimes challenge you to step outside your comfort zone while staying true to your individual style. This is why you hire us, to exceed your expectations and stretch your vision beyond what you thought possible.

Our goal is ALWAYS to satisfy you through superior design, service, materials, and craftsmanship. Sew Bella Home knows that design is supposed to be fun. We keep the process exciting and painless and, in the end, leave you with something you will love for years to come! Our standard process, looks like this:

  • Ring: A customer relationship with Sew Bella Home typically begins with a phone call. Initial phone inquiries last about 5 to 10 minutes. During this time I will request some information regarding your project, your home, budget and style so we can determine the possibility of a live meeting.
  • Ready: I come to your home and talk with you for about an hour to discuss the project you envision. Of course, we will have a good sense of what is needed from our initial phone call, but sometimes a description of an interior design or decorating project over the phone does not reveal its full scope or nature. Design is an intimate process and Sew Bella wants you to feel just as comfortable with us as we do with you. This is our “getting-to-know” you meeting!
  • Retain: At our first meeting, we will discuss the scope of your home décor project, the window treatment style, bedding or reupholstery you’re looking for and any inspirational photos or ideas you have collected. Our conversation will center on the colors, style, feel and function you want for the space. During this meeting, you will decide to retain our services and a retainer will be requested so that Sew Bella by Suzy Daruwala can begin drafting your design plans.
  • Render: Once you retain our services, we will begin design work immediately, typically starting with digital renderings to help you visualize how different perspectives, window treatments and fabrics look in your space before orders are made and custom fabrication begins. Simultaneously, during this stage, we take professional measures of all windows and spaces to assure the perfect fit.
  • Realize: Sew Bella Home sews and gets busy “behind the scenes” fabricating the home furnishings, window treatments and accessories for your space. This is the anticipation stage for you, when you excitedly wait for “reveal day” – aka installation day. Our professional installers will ensure that all treatments are installed correctly – and securely.

From this point on, it’s your time to revel in the beauty and luxury of your new custom treatments.
